BASEBALL w/ TYLER THOMPSON

Tyler Thompson

Tyler Thompson is a native of Bloomington, Indiana.  He attended Bloomington South High School where he was an all-state baseball and football player.  He went on to play collegiately at Indiana State University and was named to three Missouri Valley all conference teams.  Thompson was a 7th round draft pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 1998 draft.  He had a 4 year stint in the minor leagues and was named to the all-star team in the South Atlantic League in 2000.

After his playing career ended, Thompson got right into coaching.  He was an assistant coach at Bloomington South for a year and then took over the Bedford North Lawrence program for 7 seasons.  Tyler has been giving hitting instruction for over 17 years and has had several kids go on to play at the collegiate level.
